Taking a self-portrait every day for a year is a challenge. Taking one every day for seven years? I’m not sure what that is.
Noah Kalina, a photographer living and working in New York City, started taking self-portraits on January 11, 2000 and is still going. He plans to continue for the rest of his life.
He has attracted a kind of fame for his project and has even included celebrities in his self portraits. He has also compiled the first 2,365 days—from January 11, 2000 through July 31, 2006—into a video.
Though he claims to have come up with the idea to do this on his own, he acknowledges that other have as well. For example, Ahree Lee. He also encourages others to do this, too.
